Our x-ray room is located immediately adjacent to the treatment room. It is equipped with a specialized table that expands to accommodate patients of all sizes. The x-ray beam is adjusted according to patient size and body area being radiographed.

Since our patients need help to cooperatively lie on the table without moving, our veterinary nurses stay right beside your pet during an x-ray. To protect themselves from repeated x-ray exposure, they wear special lead-lined protective clothing and gloves.

Similar to regular photographic film, the x-rays are developed in the darkroom during a three-step process and then they are evaluated by the doctors.
