Kayla Hughson

Patient Care Specialist

As a Patient Care Attendant, Kayla is always gentle and caring for the sick and injured animals that come into Clarkson Village Animal Hospital. She loves helping animals, and her favourite part of the job is seeing pets and their families go home happy and healthy.

Kayla has two dogs at home, a one-year-old teacup Pomeranian named Stella, and a giant six-year-old Saint Bernard named Duke. Despite their size differences, they are best friends!

She graduated from Sheridan College with a Police Foundations Diploma, and has worked in customer service and as a security guard. But Kayla’s real passion is working with animals, and she hopes to spend her entire career helping them as much as possible. She dreams about opening an animal shelter where she can match people with a new furry friend in need!

Outside of work, Kaya enjoys snowboarding, reading, and hiking.
