Chiqian (Anita) Han, RVT
Registered Veterinary Technician
I decided to join the veterinary field because I lost my puppy when I was 6 years old in China due to the Dog Ban Act in 1998. Mixed breed, mastiff or uncertified dogs were not allowed to be a pet in large cities. The conflict between human and dogs was raised because of the growing population of pet dogs in the city and owners’ lack of education on raising dogs. In this field, I am able to use my effort to help provide a better living environment for small animals. My goal is to one day become a veterinarian.
I graduated from the University of Prince Edward Island with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2014. Two years later, I graduated from Georgian College with a Veterinary Technician Diploma and in March 2018, I joined the Clarkson team. The areas of veterinary medicine that interests me the most are Surgery and Emergency. What I love most about my job is that every day is different, full of challenges and excitement. My favourite thing about the clinic is that we have lots of hands to support each other, both physically and mentally. A fun fact about myself is that I am very good at eating and sleeping.
