Dr. Caitlin Forbes
Dr. Forbes graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2018 after completing an honours program in animal biology with a minor in neuropsychology from the University of Guelph. She has worked in general practice since graduation but first came to CVAH as an emergency relief veterinarian at the beginning of 2019. In 2021, she signed on as the lead veterinarian at Clarkson Village Animal Hospital and continues to aid in the practice’s transition from a previous 24hr clinic, to the 12 hour/7 days per week clinic it is today.
One of Dr. Forbes’ favourite parts of being a DVM is building strong relationships with her clients and their pets. This passion led to her receiving the 2020 Readers Choice Award for Top Veterinarian in Guelph. Dr. Forbes has a special interest in animal nutrition, diagnostic imaging, and disease prevention. She is able to focus on your pet’s mental and physical well-being by applying her ongoing education through being Elite Level Fear Free Certified.
In her spare time, she enjoys napping, Starbucks, hiking with her two dogs (Dakota and Harley), and helping at sister clinics that need relief veterinarians.
