At our clinic, we have access to digital radiology which provides superior x-rays and minimizes exposure to radiation for both our staff and the pet. We also send our x-rays electronically to a radiology service staffed by board-certified radiologists, who also look at and interpret our x-rays within 24 hours of them being sent.
How do you use x-ray and radiology services at your clinic?
Used for investigating injuries to the skeleton, soft tissue swellings, and to get an overview of structures in the chest and abdomen. Utilized to assess dogs and cats for vomiting, diarrhea, urinary issues, soft tissue and bony issues.
How should I prepare my dog for their x-ray appointment?
Do not feed them before your appointment in case there is a need to sedate them for their comfort and safety.
